Artmongers was formed by artists Patricio Forrester and Julian Sharples in March 2004. We produce artistic interventions from customised wheelie bins, cars and clothes to large-scale murals and art-on-trees.
We specialize in colourful, approachable, comical artworks. We collaborate with artists, designers and members of the public, to produce artworks that genuinely improve the urban environment and create a sense of pride and ownership.
Artmongers vision is to create a circuit of Public Art in the North of Lewisham Borough, without the viewer having to walk more that 200 metres from one artwork to the next. People will find artworks unexpectedly while they are going about their daily life. The artistic interventions will happen on any banal object that surrounds us and will be made in collaboration with others. We aim to complete the project by 2008.
